Per Diem Rates
The Division of Laboratory Animal
Resources charges per diem based on the species, the number of animals
housed and the type of care the animals receive. Per diem rates
are reviewed and adjusted annually. Investigators are notified in
advance of changes. For grant budgetary projections, an increase
in per diem of 5-8% annually is recommended. The disposal fee is
a pass-through charge for DLAR. All animal carcasses are removed
from the facility by a commercial waste management company.
